Harbour and Seaward Towers on Gosport’s waterfront were built in the 1960s by Wimpey Construction.
The architect was W.H. Saunders. They feature spectacular mosaics of Poole tiles in two colour schemes, blue and brown.
John Edward Tyrrell was the Gosport Borough Architect at the time and his Department along with Kenneth Barden, the principal architect for the builder George Wimpey and Co. Ltd, designed the flats and approved the Mural design. Both are acknowledged with their initials incorporated into the bottom of some of the murals.
